What a small gesture that can mean so much! If only more bosses understood that displays of gratitude are much more motivating than bullying tactics. That is a problem with my current situation. It reminds me of Office Space--"That's my only real motivation is not to be hassled, that, and the fear of losing my job. But you know, Bob, that will only make someone work just hard enough not to get fired."
Anyways, just wanted to say that this post has inspired me to try to give my coworkers some positive encouragement that I know they are not getting from management. Thanks Michelle!
